Golden Maple - Paint Handle Review

The folks at Golden Maple recently reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in trying their painting handle, and sharing my experience with you. I have seen their products being promoted, pretty heavily, online over the last number of months. I was curious to see how it compared to other handles I own, so I happily said yes. So, after numerous painting sessions, let’s talk about my thoughts and experience using the Golden Maple Painting Handle. 

My initial impressions with the handle were very positive. Unboxing the handle was a premium experience. The handle comes in a well-packaged box. The contents are very well protected. 

In the box you’ll find the handle, finger grip, five small caps, one large cap, and instruction booklet. 

The handle and caps are made of a high quality wood. The magnets are pretty strong as well; so you won’t need to worry about caps falling off accidentally. 

I’ve used a miniature holder with a finger support for a few years, and think it’s a must-have for painting small details. This handle is unique, in that it has 3 different slots for the finger rest to be inserted on the handle, giving you more control and comfort while painting. I was advised by the folks at Golden Maple that the support should click in place. Mine doesn’t and has a tendency to slide out a little, based on the way I hold the handle. This isn’t a big deal at all, and could entirely happen because I’m holding the handle like a dunce. 

As I said earlier, I’ve used the handle for numerous hours. I have found it to be quite comfortable in-hand, even during longer painting sessions (2+ hours). As someone with larger hands, this is really nice. If you have smaller hands, I believe it would be comfortable for you as well. 

My initial impression of this handle has been very positive. I like the innovative features Golden Maple has added to this handle (reposition-able finger rest and handle shape). I think if you’re in the market for a new painting handle, this is one you should definitely consider.
